Use messages to communicate during your lesson - they’ll be saved so you can review them later.

That being said, have you tried sending the tutor a message through Mylingue?
The tutor will receive a notification about your message and they may respond.
If they don’t respond after 15-20 minutes, here are some other ways you can resolve the issue:
You can contact the tutor again to reschedule your lesson. Things sometimes happen, and they might have had an emergency.
As a tutor, they can reschedule lessons for 72 hours after the originally scheduled lesson start time.

You can use filters in «Teacher Listing» section to narrow the search results for your needs and budget range.
You can choose the speciality needed, specify the country, prefered time for studying etc.
We recommend that you use all of the available filters.
This will save your time in searching for a suitable tutor and ensure that you select one who can best help you reach your goals.
Clarifying the details
If you need to clarify any details before making a decision while choosing a tutor.
First lesson payment
After you have selected the time for the lesson, go straight to payment by selecting payment method:
- Visa/Mastercard
- Paypal
During the first lesson you will be able to determine if the tutor suits your needs.
If the tutor does not suit you well or the lesson does not take place.
We will refund you 100% of the paid amount or pay for your first lesson with another tutor.
Lesson packages payment
After the first lesson, you will be able to choose a number of hours and pay for the package of lessons to continue learning.
Packages of 5, 10, 15, 20 hours are available for you.
Package payments guarantee the safety of your money as the tutor gets paid only after you confirm that each lesson took place.
You can send a personal message directly from the search results or profile page of the selected tutor.
According to the rules of the site, it is forbidden to share any contact information until payment for the first lesson is made.
Violation of this policy will result in your profile being blocked. If the system has blocked you during correspondence with the tutor by mistake, please contact our technical support.
Leave a review of the tutor
Two weeks after the payment for the first lesson, you can leave a review, you take part in the tutor's rating process and help future students find the right tutor.
If you wish, you can leave a review faster by entering the conversation with a specific tutor through My Requests section.
Platform guarantees and other rules
The refund option will be available for your payment only during the period of 90 (ninety) days starting from the date when the payment was made for all unplanned lessons.
In case the tutor didn't suit you or your planned lesson didn't take place but was accidentally confirmed.
you can ask us to transfer or refund these funds within 3 days after the planned lesson time.

Learn about violations and penalties and how to avoid them
To ensure that the Preply platform provides top-quality educational services, we have developed several rules and regulations for tutors.
Please read them carefully before you start teaching at Mylingue.
The violation of these rules will result in hiding and/or blocking the tutor’s profile from search results.
For multiple or severe violations of these rules, the profile will be blacklisted and removed from the platform.
What is not acceptable on the Mylingue platform?
1. Getting payments from Preply students outside the platform.
2. Canceling and/or not attending scheduled classes without rescheduling (especially a first class with a new student).
We understand that anything can happen at any time.
However, if you don't show up or cancel a lesson without providing a student with a valid reason, it will negatively affect students' motivation to learn.
Therefore, it is expected that Preply tutors attend all scheduled classes. In cases of multiple reports concerning the tutor's absence for lessons, their profile can be hidden.
To avoid being hidden from the Preply platform, please reach out to your students in advance and reschedule the classes.

3.- Sharing links to other websites with tutoring services.
Your profile will be blocked if you send links to other tutoring platforms.
You may, however, share internal Mylingue links, books, articles and other learning resources — but only after the student has purchased a trial lesson.
4.-Violation of social norms and rules including inappropriate behavior, sexual harassment, fraud.
Each complaint will be investigated individually by the Preply team, and strict actions can be initiated.
5.-Posting advertisements and recruitment announcements.
Searching for employees for language schools or sending such content via the Mylingue messaging system.
6. Providing misleading information and pricing in a tutor's profile.
7.-Registering two or more tutor profiles on the platform.

How our platform works
- Student selects a convenient date and time from the list of available time slots on the tutor's profile and carries the payment through the platform.
- Tutor and student can clarify details of the lesson by using the private messaging system on the platform.
- After the payment for the first lesson, the system automatically exchanges contact information between the student and the tutor.
It is mandatory for the first lesson to be full and effective as student will evaluate the methods and quality of the tutoring.
4.After the first lesson is completed, the system will automatically suggest the student purchasing a package of hours (5, 10, 15, 20 hours) for further lessons with the tutor. This working model is compulsory for all tutors. In the case of a negative feedback, your student will be offered to get a free tutor replacement. The number of such replacements directly influences rating position of the tutor and can result in tutor's account being blocked.
5.Comission for each class will be 18% to attract more students.
What is not allowed
- Getting payments from Mylingue students outside the platform.
- Sharing any contact information, full names, links and e-mails with students using private messages before the first lesson or placing them on the profile page.
- Providing misleading information and pricing in your profile.
- Registering two or more accounts on the platform.
Penalties
- Violation of these rules will result in the tutor's profile being automatically blocked.
- For multiple violations, the profile will be removed from the platform.
- In case of receiving payments from Mylingue students outside the platform, we reserve the right to block the balance on tutor's internal account without the possibility to unlock it and withdraw the funds.
